Principal, Derek Wickliff

Derek Wickliff was named principal of Alamo in 2011. As a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, Mr. Wickliff came to education as a member of the first Teach for America teaching corps. His teaching background includes years in all K-5 grade levels in the Compton, Paramount, and Anaheim school districts. Upon receiving his Master's from Cal-State Fullerton, Mr. Wickliff joined the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District as an assistant principal. Prior to his appointment at Alamo, Mr. Wickliff also served as assistant principal at Cooper, Callison, and Browns Valley Elementary School in the Vacaville Unified School District. 

Mr. Wickliff is the proud father of two Will C Wood graduates, both of whom now attend the University of California, Berkeley. His wife is also an educator as a 2nd grade teacher in Fairfield.


Assistant Principal, Jared Rondoni

Jared Rondoni joined the Alamo team during the 2023-2024 school as Assistant Principal, split between both Orchard and Alamo. For the 2024-2025 school year Mr. Rondoni will be at Alamo 100% of the time. Though his time with Alamo is new, he has been a part of the Vacaville Unified team for the past 11 years. Previously he taught at both Callison Elementary and Vacaville High School. Mr. Rondoni studied English Literature at UC Santa Cruz and then earned his teaching credential from Brandman University.

In addition to teaching Mr. Rondoni was the head coach for the VHS Bulldogs swim team. He lives with his family in Vacaville that includes a 2-year old English Bulldog.
